A Mantra In Strength

Updated: Oct 27, 2021

What is Strength?

Strength is something that every one of us has inside. We all express our strengths differently. It is not a singular idea, but rather a collective set of abilities and potential abilities that make up your overall character and every single one of them is different.

You may have strengths in certain areas of your life that you may not know about. You have to be the one to dig deep and find out what you are made of. You will never know what is under the surface until you start clawing your way to your core.

What you consider to be strong is defined merely by how you define strength, to begin with. Everyone has a different interpretation of what it is to be vigorous. Come to realize that your strength isn’t capped, you can always become stronger in some way.

No matter where you come from, you have strengths inside you and the power to build new versions. As far as what you consider strong, that is subjective and individualistic from person to person.

Expressing your Mantra

When you take up your strength as a mantra, it is a creed that you live by. It is not merely a frame of mind, but rather a way of being and existing. These collective strengths that hang from many strings inside you anchor to this core character, all of which have their unique tone to contribute to the vast symphony of your entire being.

If you play these strings in a way that aids in your life, they build upon one another. Taking up this way of being can remind you that who you are is a choice, it is only when the unconscious becomes conscious in some way that it becomes obtainable.

A Mantra in Strength

When you ground yourself in these strengths they will become assets to a mantra that is connected to everything else.

This newfound power will start a catalyst for everything else in your life, but you have to be the one to keep the sounds of this symphony alive.

There is a song inside you that has always been there but sometimes with all the noise in this world, it is incredibly hard to hear. There are some things that you can do to practice finding this inner strength.

1. Have a Conversation With Yourself.

The only way to know where we are going is to know where we have been and where we are currently. Ask yourself questions and aim to understand yourself better.

On one sheet of paper, you are going to create a list of questions. Leave room in between these questions to write an answer below them.

Some of these may include:

Who are you today?

What have you learned from your past?

How can you use what you have learned from your past?

What are your current strengths and weaknesses?

Would you want to change any of these?

Once you have a reasonable list of questions, begin to work your way down it answering these questions. Make emphasis on your responses as well, if any keywords stand out and that you resonate with, underline them. If there is anything that feels like a core trait or relates to a core trait, put an asterisk (*) next to them.

These will be used in the next section.

2. Define Your Strength.

Once you have a general understanding of where your strengths are, begin the process of defining each strength that you found.

For example, It is very possible to use the term “Adaptable” but unless you’re implying that you are adaptable to a certain situation, emotion, moment, etc. It can be widely used but not be specific enough.

For these reasons, it’s wise to take the time to truly define every strength and get a rough idea of where you stand, where you can improve, where there are connections that could be made.

Many ideas are connected in this world, and sometimes if you can get them to work together, you can leverage them in a way that outweighs the standalone version.

Remember those traits that you underlined, and put an asterisk next too? This is where you can use them as a key, how do those concepts relate and connect? Find the connections and make note of them on a separate paper.

3. Capitalize On Your Newfound Strength.

Now that you understand what strength you are looking for, ask yourself how it can found in everyday life? Perhaps your strength is “being a good listener” maybe you will have a friend today who needs someone to listen, you will know that is something you can do, find a way to use these new skills and capitalize on strengthening your connection to this feeling.

We are fluid beings. We are constantly changing and growing. I highly advise doing this at least every 6 months to a year, to get a better understanding of where you are going.

It’s wise to see where you have improved, what you felt defined your character the best, and what matched where you want to end up the most in your life.

Find your strength It is there, and you will know because it feels right above all else. It comes in so many different ways, that it isn’t just as easily defined as “strength” but a collection of traits that help you become the best you.
